We’re raising $20,000 to help establish a permanent Thrive Op Shop in Paeroa.

We have an awesome group of local ladies who are passionate about making it happen. Donations of quality second-hand goods are already steadily coming in. There’s energy, support and a genuine desire to create something that will serve Paeroa for years to come.

The op shop will create opportunities for people to volunteer, contribute their skills, work alongside others and be part of something meaningful.
There are already some incredible local people putting their hands up to help make this happen.
SUPPORTING LOCAL YOUNG PEOPLE
Most importantly, the shop will help create an ongoing source of income to support Thrive Trust's youth work in Paeroa and the surrounding area.
A practical way for our own community to help sustain work with local young people.
WHY $20,000?
Opening a permanent shop takes more than having goods to put on the shelves.
The initial funding will help us establish the shop properly and cover the costs that come with getting a retail space ready to operate.
This includes things like:
Shop fittings and shelving
Creating practical, attractive spaces to display clothing and goods.
Counters, storage and equipment
Everything needed to operate the shop day to day.
EFTPOS and retail systems
Making purchasing simple and keeping the operation running well.
Signage and setup costs
Helping create a shop that is visible, welcoming and ready for the community.
Initial operating costs
Giving the shop enough breathing room to become established and begin generating sustainable income.
Our aim isn't simply to raise money to keep an op shop running.
The aim is to invest once in creating something that can keep giving back.

THE MOMENTUM IS ALREADY THERE
This isn't an idea we're hoping somebody might eventually get behind.
People already have.
We have a group of passionate local women helping drive the vision.
We have people willing to volunteer.
We have a steady stream of donated goods beginning to come in.
And we've already seen through our pop-up op shops that there is real support for the idea.
Now we want to take the next step and create a permanent home for it.
